Director Named for Moon Knight!
Mohamed Diab will direct Moon Knight, the Marvel series being developed for Disney+.
Although we have yet to receive an official comment, Deadline has reported the Egyptian filmmaker has been hired to direct the new series. We already know Oscar Isaac will star as the title character.

About Moon Knight
Moon Knight is based on a comic book hero with the same name who is not as well known as many of his Marvel counterparts. The Disney+ series will chronicle the life of Marc Spector, a mercenary who struggles with multiple personalities.
After working as a Marine and CIA operative, Spector chooses to instead abandon his morals and pursue a career as a hired gun. He comes in contact with Bushman, an extreme terrorist, who leaves him to die in the Egyptian desert.

By a stroke of luck, Spector arrives at a nearby ancient tomb and into the hands of Marlene Alaurune, the daughter of an archeologist murdered by Bushman. Spector is near death when he discovers a statue of the Egyptian god Khonshu materialize before him and attributes this to saving his life.
Spector uses his new lease on life to destroy Bushman’s operations with the help of his friend, Frenchie (Jean-Paul DuChamp). He returns to the US and creates a secret identity, Moon Knight, as well as to other personalities to assist him in his war on crime. His alter egos are Steven Grant, millionaire playboy, and Jake Lockley, a cab driver.

Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. He first appeared in Werewolf by Night #32, published in August 1975.
